An intro to Jenna

After three great years, this is my final year at UT. I'll be graduating in the Spring with a double major in Government and Rhetoric. I'm taking the LSAT this October and am planning to attend law school next fall. I've loved the Government department's courses that I've taken that have involved learning about the law and about court cases, so when I read the title of this course, I made my decision to take it. I always enjoy my Rhetoric courses as well, and this class seems like a really interesting combination of two types of courses that I enjoy. I've taken the other classes that are required for a Rhetoric major (intro, Cyberculture, a lower division 309...) and a course on working in the Writing Center, which I will be doing this semester, as well. In the Government department, I've taken one class on Constitutional Law and am taking a course on civil rights and civil liberties this semester.

As is common among Government majors and people who are headed to law school, I am interested in politics and am involved with a campus organization that promotes political activism. Last semester, I worked as an intern at the Texas Capitol for a State Representative and really enjoyed the experience of being involved in the policy process.
